Employing a designer may seem a little daunting but I try to make the process transparent, simple and enjoyable. My overall aim is to design and create garden that grows with you via a three step process.

PHASE 1: Brief

I look at the garden and then discuss your requirements to develop a brief.

Then you would receive a fee proposal for the garden design.

PHASE 2: DESIGN

Once the fee proposal is agreed the existing garden will be measured and photographed.

Working with your brief I produce initial sketch designs, perhaps a couple of alternatives and come to talk to you about them.

With the feedback from this second meeting I produce firm designs for the layout of the garden and include designs for any bespoke elements for the project such as built in seats, summer houses and gates.

The design phase can go through a number of iterations.

PHASE 3: Creation

Once you are happy with the design, working drawings are prepared to be sent to the contractors for costing.

At this stage the planting plan would be discussed in detail.

I like to plant up my own garden designs and I am always happy to supervise the hard landscaping of the project.
